Long time no update!
It seems like I write in the journal once a year, huh? Yeahhh... what's up with that? I don't know, either.

But in all seriousness, it seems like these past couple of years have just been flying right on by. I like to imagine it's because I've been having fun, but as it were, life isn't all fun and games. If only it were... :'<

Life has been busy, and not always pleasantly so. This year has been especially rough though.  I got into a really bad car accident back in March (who rolls over a four door Sedan? I do, 'cause I'm talented like that /sarcasm). Reason being? Lack of sleep. Between work and school, I haven't had any time to rest, so I damn near killed myself. Makes it the second time I've had to go to the ER this year... yay.

So yeah, I've been trying to take it easier since then. You know, trying not to put too much on my plate and all that jazz. Despite all that though, I'm still pretty busy. Maybe not as much as I used to be, but to my chagrin, work continues to suck up a lot of my time and energy (alas, I have to pay my bills somehow).

After all that's said and done though, I think things have been looking a little brighter lately. Thankfully, I can say that I'm finally done with my AA (took me long enough, right? Moving from the middle of the Pacific Ocean to the West end of the Atlantic Ocean didn't help much, lol), and so I'm out of school for a while. Maybe longer than I'd like to be because I was originally planning to transfer and start back school in Spring 2012, but I recently found out that the school I want to apply to doesn't accept spring applications for my major. Whut. I tell ya, it's been kind of a disappointing year for me. :'<

It's my own fault though. I should have planned better. C'est la vie, I suppose.

But you know what? In hind-sight, life isn't that bad. I've come out of all my problems in some way or another — gotta learn to roll with the punches. As far as school being put off goes? I guess it's a blessing in disguise. It gives me time to myself, to catch up on a lot of things. I'm currently trying to figure out where to transfer to (in the case I don't make it into my first or second choice)... and more importantly, I'm trying to figure out how to pay for it, too (any suggestions?). In the meanwhile, I get to work on my art again, and I think I look forward to that the most.

I want to get better... I need to get better. So damn it, if it's the last thing I do, I will get better.

There you have it. I'm still alive and I'm still here. I intend to be here a little more often, too...
